I Was Wondering If I Can Get Permission To Begin My Own City In the Sky, Like on Floating Islands... I Found A Really Good Area With Lots Of Overhangs That No One Is Near, Not Even Close To It (Minus Me And Nexus's Little Village Area). I Already Have Made Plans For It And I Really Hope I Get The Permission, I Don't Anyone To Do The Work For Me, For I Shall Do I By Myself... I Just Needed To Make Sure The Floating Island Thing Was Okay...

The best thing to do when requesting something like this is to post DETAILED plans. Most floating cities are quite ugly and it will be REALLY hard to get the city approved without posting examples and proving that what you are building won't be an eyesore in Vetronia. As it is, a post like this will be quickly denied and shuffled away.. Just a heads up.

Okay, Let Me Build Something Quick In My SinglePlayer To Post What It Will Look Like... But The General Idea I Have For This Is That I Will Some Kind Of Floating "Kingdom" In A Sense, Sorta Medieval In The Skies Thing Going On, Connected By Stone Bridges (Since There's No Rope In Minecraft... Yet) And Supported On Both Sides That Are Also Connected Below The Actually Bridge (Like A Suspension Bridge). I Also Will Build Several Island Villages In The My Medieval Style, So Lighter and Darker Shades Of Wood And Cobblestone In a Nice Looking Style (Trust Me I Can Build Like That, You'll See In The Screenshots). There Will Be A Castle On The Largest Island That Is Large, Bustling, And Have Plenty Of Stuff To Do In It; As Well As That, There Will Be A Large Staircase Leading Up To It All Via One Of The Island... Let Me Get Some Pictures Up So You Get A Better Idea, Just Give Me Two Or Three Days To Get The Images Up.

I refuse to read this. It hurts my eyes to read every word with a capital letter.

I am currently making my plans in my singleplayer right now, I shall first post with the design for one of the island villages

The images I'm uploading now are some concept views: the first few are a much smaller version of the castle I plan on building, along with the inside of a church I built (also much smaller than planned; I made both of them way before joining VC or thinking of this idea). The other photos that are shown in a snowier part of my singleplayer map are images of the concept town hall. The plan I had for the town halls were to make them one big room where all the villagers could just hang out, see the town rules, see what events are coming up, etc. The roof I imagined was to be a wood and stone brick normal roof that at the very end went into a steep slope (I accomplished that). I also envision having the front parts be different for each village, i.e, some have fountains, some have farms, some have bell towers. I hope you guys like the concept pieces thus far, I might be able to get the rest of the concept village uploaded tomorrow night seeing as I have a busy day tomorrow. Thank you for the consideration.

As I said in my post, this was only the concept on the buildings first... and I also will be very busy tomorrow with life, so I will post my work with putting my concepts on floating islands as my last images post, if not tomorrow then the day after, but I will show my work with floating islands.

Of course I have a back up plan as well... If my results with building floating islands that fit the size of the mountains on the server fail and it doesn't present well... Then I'll just keep the concept of the city, still build it in the sky, just without removing any of the underneath of the mountains, so therefore it still becomes a city in the sky.

While removing the mountains underneath might be the easy way to do it, and could make for some very effective floating islands, I'm personally against the leveling of mountain ranges. There are only a certain number of them on the map, and if for whatever reason the project goes belly-up and gets abandoned, Vetronia has one less mountain range.
I'm more a proponent of using the type of mountains we see, and creating one from scratch, even higher than a mountain range would be. That way no natural terrain is sacrificed.

No, I am going to find mountain ranges in my own single player world and try out my skills on those (Same size as the ones in VC); However, if I am not happy with my own results then the city will be built without damage to the mountains.

This is one concept for the bridges that will be placed between each part of the city... I can improve them if everyone feels they need to be, but for now this is the complex version. Also, I found a mountain in my single player that is exactly the same size and height as one of the larger mountains I found in VC, I might get an image up tomorrow of what I could get out, if I am displeased with my own island design then I will ask to just build the city on the mountains as is.

If you're building something on the ground you don't need permission. If you're going to spend time dragging blocks to the sky for whatever reason, you need to have a detailed plan before it's approved. Hint: If your plan is to make a giant square in the sky: rejected.

I read the forum thread you gave me and my original idea was to go into my single player world first, take apart a mountain as I would on the server to make it into an island, then build some concept villages on that, connect it to another floating island with the bridge I showed, screenshot it, post it, see if you like it... If not liked, then I will just build as is and this thread can be closed. (Also I'm going for more like photo number two like that other guy said, it's the best idea for floating islands).
