To add some insight to the case ..

Ramous killed hannahkari in the OR which is PVP enabled. And is fair game.

Please post the whole conversation and not just bits and pieces that look like someone did something wrong. He was merely defending himself as everyone accused him of doing something wrong.

Granted this should not have been in public chat, it should have been handled in party chat.

7. PVP is Allowed in the Nether
Griefing and killing players is enabled and allowed in the Nether and the Outer Reaches, enter at your own risk.

Per the rules , Ramous did nothing wrong.

Per-hasp there should be a warning messaging once entering the Outer Reaches.

Lucky for Ramous, I try to treat people like I would like to be treated. I think revenge only escalates things and is hardly ever worth it. Also, even though PVP/griefing is allowed per "Sibbit's Rule" Wink , VeteranCraft is a pretty friendly server, and you only stand to make enemies by killing/griefing everyone in the Outer Reaches.

I hope Ramous doesn't make this a habit, because if hannahkari's older brother happens to see Ramous in the Outer Reaches... Joking, joking! Cool

Since when is that " my rule ". I never stated if i thought what he did was right or wrong. I stated that he broke no rules for a ban request. I dont agree with what he did, but that doesnt mean he gets banned for it when the SERVER RULES state its ok.

Im done on this issue, and this isnt the place to talk about it in ban request.

I would also like to apologize for any communication failures on part of the rules which is my responsibility. I need to get things clear in the rules. I do know I never intended the OR to be PVP and griefing allowed. If the rules state that then it is my failure to clearly communicate the rules with staff.

The rule should be:

PVP is allowed in the OR if agreed upon by both parties & Griefing is certainly not allowed in the OR.

Because of my failure to clearly outline this in the rules it has caused confusion and I will not hold Ramous responsible, although it is a douchey move regardless.

Woah Sib - sorry. My post was in total joking. That's why I put the "wink" next to "Sibbit's Rule". Sorry if you took offense, because I was totally trying to lighten the situation. I was not campaigning for him to get banned or anything.

I was merely pointing out that if I was revenge driven, I could have gone after Ramous. It was more of advice for everyone, that even if something is allowed, your actions could still affect people.

Sorry if I confused people with my post - I guess my cheerful tone of voice didn't translate to text. It was meant to be funny, while still proving a point.

I am not revenge driven, and I do try to treat people like I would like to be treated, just like I said. I was basically saying that I'm not mad at Ramous...

Let me try again, this time without trying to be witty.

Just because something is allowed by a server rule, doesn't mean you should do it. In the case of PVP/griefing, assuming it is allowed, doing it can make enemies and can bring retaliation on yourself. Just because you won't get banned shouldn't always be the motivation behind whether you do or don't do something.

I was just merely trying to point out that it would be perfectly fine in the bounds of the (then current) rules for me to go and get hannahkari's stuff back from Ramous. People probably wouldn't think twice if I did. But even though it is allowed, I choose not to, because I don't want to make enemies, and I don't want to create some kind of clan war.

I honestly was trying to let Ramous know that someone could come and do the same thing to him, but to show that I wasn't upset by joking around, and let him know that I wouldn't be coming after him.

Sorry again to Sibbit if I singled you out - I just thought it would be funny to name the rule after you since you brought it up - I wasn't implying that you created the rule or are the enforcer of the rule. You were just a victim of my lame humor I guess.

Now that I've created a sufficient mess, I'll stop talking Smile

and not to rush things but this may be a rule you will want to quickly amend meat

PVP in the Secondary Worlds
PVP is enabled in the secondary worlds (Outer Reaches & Seraph’s Realm), HOWEVER, it is only allowed if all parties involved agree to PVP, and griefing and stealing is absolutely not allowed in these worlds.

@Sibbit brian didn't mean any harm to you and I'm sure you get that by now, don't take it personally, the way I know brian to post stuff and how I read that I totally saw he was trying to make light of the situation and not make a big deal out of it.

@Brian, don't worry dude you didn't start any 'mess'. And yes it's true, just cause something is allowed doesn't mean do it. If you want to do it, you will live with the consequences. For example, if you grief someone in the Nether, you'll live with the consequences that the person you griefed probably now hates you, which you're more than welcome to do.

The issue is MY FAULT because i didn't clearly have the rule clearly in writing, and a couple days ago Emulated saw this and amended it to how he interpreted it, but I was at Disneyland and didn't see the post, otherwise I would have quickly fixed it.

From this point forward, the new rules will be enforced. End of that discussion.

As far as hannahkari's losses, i'll personally replace them with my own stuff just tell me what she lost, and to ramous, I'm not banning because this was all a misunderstanding.
