I got banned for griefing apparently, I don't really know what part of griefing i did but if someone could actaully tell me why i got banned id be happy.

Well id like to apoligize for that i was being stupid running around with a flint n steel, i didnt know that counted as griefing because it doesnt spread. I am very sorry i really like this server and i wont ever do it again if you give me another chance.

Just because it does not spread does not mean it doesn't count as griefing. From the Rules (in bold where relevant):
1. No Griefing
Griefing includes: (A) Breaking; (B) Flaming; (C) Lava Dumping; (D) Otherwise modifying structures or items that do not belong to you; (E) Placing blocks on or immediately near things that other people have built (F) Stealing or “borrowing without permission”
I had hoped that when I spent a good half hour with you a while back making sure you returned all the items you had stolen from sts and legofishy (instead of outright banning you) that you would have learned the lesson: If it is not yours, DON'T TOUCH IT.
I will leave it to a more senior mod to decide on the appeal, but if granted I hope that THIS time the lesson finally sinks in. "Being stupid" is not an excuse.

Be happy I got here first, Mr. Square. As Light said, do not touch it if you do not own it. I strongly suggest that you read the rules this time. I would think that if I had already been in a close call before, I would read what I can and cannot do. However, because you are at least acknowledging what you did I will accept this appeal.
Do not let it happen again.
