I was building a structure, a fantasy based inverted pyramid. I asked my friends on this server 1st prior to building it since i know you guys have extremely strict rules about structure building.

the building rules are

  • Build at least 10 blocks away from any other structure unless you have permission. (which i did not brake as my structure was over 100 away from any other structures in the vacinity)
  • No 1×1 towers or floating structures, unless they are temporary scaffolding. ( i had a 1X 1 tower, but it was used as a ladder to reach my tower, which i explained)
  • Try to keep the wilderness looking as pretty as you found it. If you do clear-cut, replant, if you do pit-mine (removing all topsoil and systematically removing layers of stone as you uncover resources), cover the spot with soil.
  • If you do not log into the server for 30 days, your buildings will be removed. (excludes contributors) (not applicable)
  • Do not build anything offensive outdoors. (it was a pyramid, not offensive in anyway)
  • Dynamic content ( mobs, animals, harvesting, portals, redstone circuitry, etc.) use server resources. Excessive use of such may cause lag. Keep such systems/machinery to a reasonable size so as not to affect your fellow players. We do not allow nether portal gold farms or iron farms. (it was purely out of sandstone, no gizmos or anything)
  • Do not cut half of a tree.  Please remove all wood and replant. Players are encouraged to remove all half removed floating trees they find. (there were no trees involved)
  • Do not build structures in the ocean or on natural lakes over 10 blocks wide, unless they are submerged at least 5 blocks, or unless you get permission prior to construction on the forums. (the lake was temporary created as the nature of my build means i tend to fall off alot, I used the water to break fall damage and will be repaired after)
  • Players may not terraform, flatten, or decimate large areas of land to make room for building. You may only flatten land 40×40 or less at a time. The exception is to buy the land prior to flattening. Staff have discretion when determining when an excavation project goes too far. (It was flat ground to begin with, only added water 1 unit deep)
  • Do not destroy strongholds. ( no where near)
  • Use common sense.

As i was told i need to get approval for building unusual structures. Something not normal or fantasy, I asked what qualified as a fantasy structure, and did my inverted pyramid fit. I was banned for questioning said rules.

I did not question any said rules, as my structure did not violate anything in the above list. I was told to request via forum, so i wanted to know what am i requesting for. Then i was banned.

I will attach a finished picture on the structure i had in mind.

The bottom of the section, as you see is leaf covered. thats the inverted pyramid base. The pyramid will reach to the ground via several pillars. which then is covered with a man made waterfall finish.

Unfortunately, you decided neither to acknowledge or heed Axymoron's request and instead proceeded to party chat with BlueBudge99. In essence, that is ignoring staff and hence the ban notwithstanding that you were building a floating structure without approval. Had you said "Ok Axy, I will stop building and post a request in the forums" that would have probably been the end of it. However, showing us the end result after the fact doesn't undo the fact that you ignored staff.
