It has come to my attention that I was banned for using a modification called "Xray". It had only come to my attention when a friend of mine had told me about it a little while after I had logged off. I have been told to describe my mine layout in as best detail as possible.

First, I go down a set of steps that I have set up in my "house". It can be found via a network of tunnels and signs from CADaniel's Manufactorum. (It can be found from the Manufactorum by a sign labelled "Outpost: Pueblo") I find a wall that I feel I have not mined near, and start cutting a 2x2 (or 3x3 earlier in my time on the server) block tunnel straight through at the wall. I then mine straight until I hit what I have come to call "interest spots". These spots can be 1) any kind of ore, 2) dirt/gravel, or 3) a cavern network. For finding ore, I mine it completely, and then judge if I should branch the mine at that turn, or keep cutting straight. If I have moved down during mining the ore, I usually cut at the new depth. If I find dirt or gravel, I immediately excavate the mass in its entirety, usually finding ore around it. I then continue networking my mine from this new space underground. Finally, if I find a cavern network, I usually set up torches inside it, and mine all of the ore that is in sight, expanding across the cavern as much as possible before I have to unload my cargo at my house. Usually, I have to unload, and cannot find the cavern again, but if I still have room, or I want to keep expanding, I find a wall at an end of the cavern and keep carving my new tunnel network.

If there are any further questions as to this appeal, I welcome any further discussion on this topic.

Staff has dealt with dozens/hundreds of xrayers.  We know what it looks like, and we know what it looks like when someone is trying to cover up that they are xraying.  The problem is not your clearing of caverns, but the direction you "judge" to go.  Choosing directions at "random"?  No one mines that way legitimately, and if they do then they're doing so in the most inefficient way possible.  However this does not apply to you, as your choices had been quite eerily fortuitous.

We can't be fooled when it comes to xray.  I suggest you find another server where it is allowed.  Appeal denied.
