Welcome to VeteranCraft's 7th community event! We are back after a long delay due to other things, so hopefully we can come back to these events with a boom. This week contestants will be playing Tower Control, a game devised by TSWG.
Location
A portal will bring you to the location on the day of the event.
What to Bring
Unlike these last few times, players will need to bring iron armor with NO enchantments and the same for weapons, bows and iron weapons with no enchantments. This is because of recent uses and theft of items in the last events. If you can't bring items, there will be shops located outside of the game to provide them to you.
Date and Time
The date will be Friday, September 7th, and the time will be at 3:00 PM PST (6:00 PM EST). Try to be on at least 30 minutes beforehand.
Rules
- No perks
- Nothing besides iron items
- No enchantments
- No stealing
- No complaining
- Two teams
- All VC rules apply
- Have fun!
Reward
1st Place - 25,000 shillings
Other Information
You will be briefed with how to play right before you play. The games shouldn't last too long so if you have things to do afterwards that's fine.
How to Join
You can join and ask questions by posting in the thread linked to this topic. There will be two teams in the games and beforehand there will be a captain picked for each. The captains will pick the players one by one.

Never mind, Marching Band has to play for this special Football event on friday, and if any of you have ever been to a High School football game, you'll understand how late they go to. Well, everyone have fun.

If you get in before we start, yes, but I won't make promises. (I'm not pushing it back on purpose, so get home quick

Im in. any restrictions on potions or other items? and what about unorthodox weapons (if you pardon the pun) such as fishing poles, dogs, and TNT? is this an anything goes (under the already stated guidelines) or should we not be bring materials for TNT cannons....?

You must have missed the rules at the top of the post. Iron items only. Sure, bring your iron dog, iron blocks of TNT, and iron fishing poles. The arena is already built. there is no building, no digging, and no tnt required for anything. only your weapons, and armor.
@Ryanpitts: A revision to the aforementioned rules... There are Beds supplied, and chests that are subzoned for each competitor. Set the bed as a home so when you die, you can get back into the action asap. Death is NOT the end of the match, it's only an obstacle.

as death will cause the loss of all items you have, should we bring spare gear, like an extra set of armor, and store it in a chest next to the beds?

Yes Gunnerling. There is lava, and there is death involved. Preparation is required if you want to continue!
