I have not seen anything on the forums regarding this, so I would just like to make this clear. We have also been given several in-game reminders regarding this. We are not going to update our server right away to 1.3, so you shouldn't either (unless you don't want to to play Veterancraft until the server is up to date).
There are ways around where you could run 1.2.5 and 1.3 if you want to experience 1.3, but as iterated before, the server will remain on 1.2.5 for the time being.
There may be a post on the server's homepage shortly regarding this as well.
I'm mainly posting this for documentation sake as to not having people mentioning "I didn't see anything regarding not updating".
Thank you everyone for your patience. Hopefully we'll get 1.3 up on our server soon.
-Dalferes and the VeteranCraft team.

For those who accidentally updated to 1.3 and would like to backtrack back to 1.2.5, please follow the instructions below (these instructions are only for PC):
1. Go to: http://www.mojang.com/2012/03/.....rerelease/
2. Scroll down and select the Client download: JAR, this should save the .JAR onto your computer (default Windows Vista/7 gets saved in your downloads folder)
3. Hit the windows key + R at the same time (windows key should be located in the lower left hand side of your keyboard in between alt and ctrl). This should open a small little window with a text box.
4. In that text box type %appdata% and hit enter
5. Double click on .minecraft, then double click on bin
6 copy the .JAR file we downloaded earlier into this folder, After this is done, open up Minecraft, which should bring you back to 1.2.5.
7. DO NOT UPDATE!
If you have any questions, please reply back, thanks.

I use the brute force method described in Technique #2 of http://www.veterancraft.net/wi....._Minecraft. That way I am always assured of having good copies without having to be dependent on a third party app.

More than 10 words... My brain can't fathom it! lol. Good to reference though, didn't know we had such an article.
