TIME AND PLACE OF EVENT:

SERVER: play.veterancraft.net

TIME: 7:00pm (EST) 4:00pm (PST)

WARP: /spawn, then follow the path to the warp

PRIZE: 30,000 Shillings to the sole winner!

HUNGER GAMES RULES:

Rules & Gameplay (Competitor):

  • Players must show up and be equipped to play upon starting time.  (20 minutes allocated)
  • Players may have ONE stack of 6 food.  (any food item is acceptable)
  • Players may NOT have any perks turned on.  neither staff, nor donor.
  • Players may NOT have any items besides the aforementioned food items in inventory.
  • Items will be provided to players during the event. (Possibly).
  • Digging is permissible
  • Building is permissible (MAX Height: Y:80, MAX Depth: Y:00)
  • Destruction is permissible  **See Below**
  • PVP is enabled
  • Competitors may have only ONE sponsor (This does not Include TSWG's Sponsored Pre-Registration).
  • theft of chests found within the grounds is permissible
  • Destruction of Grounds Property is NOT permissible! This includes Sandstone, Glass, Cobblestone buildings, redstone wiring or switches
Once players have made their way to the starting rooms, game play will commence!  There will be a 5 minute Delay on PVP so that players may run, hide, find shelter, or cover.  After the 5 minute timer (7:25pm), PVP flag will be set to TRUE inside the Event area.  This event is not expected to take 2 minutes, but at the same time; not expected to last more than an hour, either. At the 10 minute mark (7:35pm), your sponsor, should you have one, will be TP'ing an item to you via one of the staff members.  Look for TSWG, RYANPITTS, or other STAFF MEMBERS to appear beside you, they will be dropping you gifts to use from your sponsor!
There will be 2 more Sponsor Gift times afterwards: 7:45pm, and 8:00pm!
You as a competitor are allowed to make alliances during the course of the event.  You are allowed to team up, make parties, and build co-operatively.  You are NOT allowed to build beyond Y:80.  If you are caught at a higher altitude than Y:80, you will be Jailed, and subsequently removed from the competition.  We will not accept cheating, nor whining about rule bending.  If caught, jailed. period.
Party chat is allowed between COMPETITORS ONLY!  Let's have an honorable game here... I understand people have outside sources of communication.  I think the players here at VC have a good head on their shoulders, and can compete fairly!  Let's keep that honor system in check!
TSWG will be placing HIDDEN chests around the competition grounds.  IF you happen to come across one of these chests, the contents are YOURS to be taken.  You will know when you have found a hidden chest, when you see them.  They are NOT typically found in the places you will find them, if that gives you a clue!!
Anyone who is NOT participating in the Hunger Games event is eligible to participate in the Sponsorship Program.  Be it you can't make it to the event, or simply wish to be a spectator to it on the live stream(s).

Sponsorship Rules:

  • you may give 1 item to your sponsor up to 3 times during the course of the event.
  • Item may be of any quality (wood, iron, gold, diamond)
  • Item may be enchanted up to level 30
  • Food stack of 6 is to be accepted as 1 item
  • The items must be given to a staff member per time of use

The reason the items must be given to a staff member is: we will not be allowing anyone to simply wander the grounds while the event is being held.  That's not how this game is played.  Help shall not be provided outside the sponsorships.  It just isn't part of the game, I hope you understand Kiss.

Players who are killed, are therefore removed from the competition.  If a competitor had received your gift, and died while using it, that player, nor yourself may make a claim for the item(s).  The competitor who obtains the item after your sponsor is killed lays claim to the item immediately.  If that player is subjected to death also, the ownership of the item will pass to the next competitor who retrieves it.

Hunger Games F.A.Q.

Q: What happens if 1 hour has passed and players are still alive?
A: All competitors will be called out to the center of the grounds where the glass and sandstone pyramid is located.  From that point, it will be a no holds barred free for all event.  If a player does NOT return to this location, they will be forfeited.

Q: What are the Prizes?
A: There is only ONE PRIZE!!

Q: What happens when I die?
A: You lose.

Q: When will I receive my items from my Sponsor?
A: 7:35pm, 7:45pm, and 8:00pm EST Provided your Sponsor is willing to provide for you!

Q: Where can I pre-register for TSWG's Sponsorship?!
A: RIGHT HERE

Q: So if I die, where will my stuff go?
A: Right where you died, unless you were killed by a player.  In which case they might pick it up!  If you die, your stuff is no longer yours.  Keep that in mind!

Q: Can I use mods like SeriMap or others?
A: You MUST follow all rules applied to our Server.  Just like every other event or day here.  Check Rules here!

I just have one question. You mentioned that food can be given as a stack of 6. What about arrows...would a person be able to give their sponsor a full stack of arrows, or just a limited amount?

Arrows I didn't think about. However, a stack of arrows would be classified as 1 item.  Thanks for bringing that up!

I understand you want to try and poke holes in the logic, but this is getting redundant. wheat is in the classification of food, your competitor will get 6 wheat if thats the item you want him to have.  How that will help him is beyond me.  But it's your call.

Secondly, im not in control of what your sponsor gives you.  re-read the rules. max level 30 enchant on any item.  pretty much sums up the idea that he can give you anything you want.

k could you sponser yourself? as in before the game, you give the three items to one of the mods and specify, i want the arrows fist, the chestpate second, and the sword third?

also will the winner be able to keep all of the materials that they have gathered through the course of the adb\venture? ie if drama has a diamond chest plate i kill him and win, can i bring the chestplate home after the competition and keep it?

 - Gunnering, I think i outlined that a few times in the rules.  Yes, if you kill someone wearing something, you now become the owner of the item. I made it a rule of the games to stop the "oooh, he took my sword, and i died, but i want it back" from happening.

 - No you cannot sponsor yourselves.

 - 6 bowls of soup? do they stack? no. so that's 6 items. you have time to give your competitor 3 items. waste it with soup all you like.

ONE competitor to ONE sponsor.  Choose wisely.  You cannot gain 20 sponsors and amass 60 items over the course of the games.... stop trying to find loopholes to give yourselves advantages.
